The National Revolutionary Police, PNR, in Contramaestre, a municipality in eastern Cuba, carries out monthly analysis of the actions developed for preventing and confronting crime, social indiscipline and unlawful acts.
At the end of June, Contramaestre reflected a “general” increase in the number of crime reports, averaging six per day, reaching a better response and achieving better results compared to the previous period.
Crime situation
The above was reported by Lieutenant Alexis Díaz Laurencio, Chief of Information and Analysis at the National Revolutionary Police Headquarters of the territory on assessing the Behavior of the Crime Situation in Contramaestre at the end of the first six months of 2023.
The analysis of the criminal situation in the territory up to the end of June also showed that crimes against “patrimonial” goods reflected an increase in their occurrence, on which, Lieutenant Díaz Laurencio clarified, work is being done to increase their levels of solution.
In Contramaestre, the evaluated stage also revealed that other thefts, robbery with force and crimes against livestock, all crimes prioritized by the police, had the highest incidence, with crimes against livestock accounting for 50 percent of the total, with an impact on the private sector.
