Contramaestre salutes the 70th anniversary of Moncada attack

The same patriotic fervor that pushed the Centenary Generation to the events of the Moncada, prints today to the people of Contramaestre creative resistance 70 years after such a singular event led by the eternal Fidel and that six years later propitiated the conquest of a free Homeland and an invincible Revolution.

To reach this July 26, Contramaestre has been able to defy shortages, limitations of all kinds, the effects of climate change, the world economic crisis and with greater force the negative impact of the more than 240 measures of the U.S. government to suffocate Cuba, but even so the revolutionary spirit of this people is multiplied in the face of every challenge.

Contramaestre´s performance acknowledged

We came to the 70th anniversary of the Moncada and this municipality, knowing that it still has a long way to go in the field of economic and social projects, was recognized as the rest of the province of Santiago for its comprehensive results.

The economic plans will continue to be the focus of attention especially if Contramaestre is still below reaching the nominalized physical productions agreed for this year, whether vegetables, viands, fruit, milk, meat, eggs and citrus, among others; regardless of the fact that the production of protein plants, the value of industrial production and the manufacture of mud bricks are recovered.

In this territory, the collective response has been palpable in the materialization of various commitments undertaken in salute to the July 26 anniversary, among which stand out the fulfillment of the retail commercial circulation, the utility campaign70 , the transformation actions in six vulnerable communities, the sanitation and beautification of workplaces and neighborhoods and blood donation, as well as the inauguration of a children’s house in the Laguna Blanca district, among other undertakings.
