Although the sun this May Day did not shine as usual, in Contramaestre the power transmitted by its light shook the proletarian parade with eternal ideas that reaffirm the greatness of the labor union movement of the territory.
Without the arrival of the sun on the morning of the International Workers’ Day, Once again the virtue grew in men and women of the municipality, who in a multitude of faces, flags and slogans dignified the Homeland, so that no one would steal what belongs to us for more than 60 years of Revolution.
With their flags unfurled in the wind, raising their strong arms in a sign of victorious beats, the Contramaestrian food workers, with 5 consecutive years as referents in the food production of Santiago de Cuba, expressed that despite the intensified blockade they will make creative resistance their main mission, in defense of the diversification of foodstuffs.
Doctors, nurses and technologists of the Public Health sector joined the march, bright, confident and with firm steps, filled with enthusiasm on this May’s first day, being aware of their humanistic work, which requires challenges and challenges to save lives inside and outside the country.
The united and victorious march in the city’s central highway reaffirmed that continuity is guaranteed with the conviction of continuing to be dignified, free and sovereign Cubans.
In the midst of a very complex economic scenario and without dulling the shine of the proletarian sweat, farmers, sugar growers, merchants and gastronomic, educators, transporters, bankers, artists, athletes, people, all wealth creators, demanded the end of the hostility of the giant of the seven leagues against the island and the end of the Zionist aggression of Israel against Palestine.
The asphalt of the city street was run over this time by mambises of these times, by children, students, housewives, retired people, intellectuals and peasants, grateful and armed with a strength that sensitized even the most apathetic of men, because “Together we create for Cuba”.
Fidel and Martí accompanied the avalanche of men and women inspired by their legacies and walking in the same direction, to demonstrate the sense of unity that prevails in the children of the terroir.
Undoubtedly, the proletarian celebration of this May Day in Contramaestre, revealed that the working class of the municipality is clear to improve our economy to realize the projects that are built, with the help of its people, without foreign recipes and without renouncing our principles.
The reedition of the proletarian party in defense of the conquered freedom and its impacts, was a demonstration of authenticity in the Cuban style, where the unity of the workers in massive mobilization and genuine patriotism, ratify that we are the continuity of an unstoppable historical process.
