The Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) in Contramaestre recently recognized the UB of the Food Industry and the unions that integrate it for the fulfillment of the Finances and the contribution to the Homeland corresponding to the present year.
The union of the Contramaestrian food industry is the first affiliation to fulfill this union task. Commitment achieved last January 6 and where the twenty-six union sessions together with their general secretaries played a fundamental role in the fulfillment of this commitment.
The present union projection of the food sector is not the first time that the line has been achieved, since in previous stages it had already been reached.
The event held at the headquarters of the food sector in the municipality of Contramaestre was attended by members of the workers’ organization’s bureau, managers of the different entities and general secretaries of the union sessions.
The fulfillment of the Contribution to the Homeland and Finances of the proletarians of the food industry in Contramaestre is part of the activities developed by the productive economic sphere for the day of the worker of the sector to be celebrated next January 25 and in salute to the 22nd Congress of the CTC.
During the activity, the delegate who will represent the Contramaestrian food industry in the great workers’ event, comrade Laidis Gé Estrada, was presented.
The food industry union in the Santiago municipality is one of the affiliations that has maintained in recent times an outstanding and sustained work in the labor movement. Merits that were highlighted in the meeting by union leaders.
Example in the participation of volunteer work, blood donations, achieving the distinction 11th Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women. Center 22nd Congress of the CTC and five consecutive years achieving the first place in the emulation for the May 1st parade among other awards.
The event recognized its twenty-six union sessions and the UB Alimentaria for its work and contribution in economic, social and union matters despite all the limitations of resources.
In the proletarian meeting workers of the sector reaffirmed once again their commitment which they argued, we work based on the commitments we have made during the year with a lot of harmony, unity, dedication to work. Committing ourselves to fulfilling the production plan is what gives us the key to success.
