Camilo- Ché, two Heroes who are not dead

October holds the everlasting memory of two great men, a pair of legends proud of their people, knowing that their Heroes are not alive but not dead either.

Ernesto Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, today on the sacred pedestal of the Homeland, have not gone away because their memories perpetuated in the hearts of their people, do not extinguish, do not languish, do not cease to shine to radiate infinite light.

He is the Heroic Guerrilla and the Lord of the Vanguard, the pure diamonds of history who offered their lives in pursuit of dreams of justice, freedom, equity, peace, love, to become eternal symbols that identify the nation.

Ché, Cuban by adoption, is the inspiration of revolutionary intransigence, is the example of humanism, is the ideological firmness of a grateful homeland and other lands of the world.

Camilo, the humble Havana tailor, is the sublime warrior who conquered stars and doves, who gave smiles and new dreams, who defended values and principles, and ensured generations full of life, to be of Homeland or Death.

Both Heroes ride unstoppable in their land that loves them with intact, deep, sincere feelings, that embraces them forever defying adversities that lead us not to weaken forces not to break the Island that shelters us.

There are many reasons in our Cuba to continue loving Camilo and Ché, to continue defending the hope that a better future may be possible, to make our own the everlasting homage of a traditional October that exalts two great Heroes who are not alive but are not dead either.
