At the Orlando Pantoja Tamayo boarding school in Contramaestre municipality of Santiago de Cuba province, various activities are being carried out during these first months of the school year, shoeing a different pioneer dynamics.
Mailines Espinosa Martín, the base guide of the José Martí Pioneers Organization, OPJM, in this educational center, informs us about it.
“In this month of September we organized the pioneer activities, involved in a different dynamics, which were approved on the 27th, after the pioneer elections which is one of the processes that we are responsible for this month and then the first Pioneer Assembly will be held in the detachments, where the educational projects of each of the groups will be approved taking into account the activities of the institutional educational project.”
“After these pioneer elections, from October 2 to 8, the Olo Pantoja Jornada begins, which includes the visit to the Olo Pantoja Memorial House, to the Wilfredo Pagés tarja, which is the one that attends our educational institution, and activities related to the matutinos about the local martyr, exhibitions, exchange with family members, personalities and combatants who had the opportunity to be with him.
“On the other hand, on October 8, in homage to the culmination of the Olo Pantoja Jornada and the beginning of the Camilo-Che Jornada, another very important pioneer process will take place, which is the entrance of the first grade students to the OPJM, for which we already have the bandannas of the 141 first grade students.
“We are preparing exhibitions of these heroes, Camilo and Che, special matinees related to this jornada, exhibitions of biographies of these personalities, informative panels about them, and other activities. On the 24th we have a methodological class where we will be informed about other pioneer actions that we are going to develop with the pioneers in charge, to prepare the guides.”
