Young people were the main protagonists of the activities in homage to the undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of his birth on August 13. In the municipality of Contramaestre, the activities were extended throughout the territory, characterized by the heartfelt remembrance to the one who had the new generations as a fundamental pillar of the revolutionary work.
The new generations developed a varied plan of activities in Contramaestre on the occasion of Fidel’s birthday last August 13.
The camp of pioneer explorers in the territory served as a base for a group of santiagueros who, gathered in representation of the new pines of this untamed province, developed a varied program of activities in which the figure of the undefeated leader was present.
In the same way and always with the presence of the main authorities of the municipality, headed by Yoelvis Suarez Zapata, First Secretary of the Party here, the tribute gala took place in the Jesús Rabí Park of the capital city.
In the meeting, also starred by young people and pioneers, songs and verses were sung for those who directed an important part of their efforts and capabilities to the development, care and protection of children and youth.
As a culmination of the activities and just at midnight, a cake was shared courtesy of the food industry of the territory.
