From May to the end of July, Empresa Mixta Tropical Contramaestre S.A. has processed more than three thousand tons of mango. This fruit has a great demand and acceptance in the national and international market.
Juices, tamarind nectar, mango, guava, essential oils are the production lines of this important industry in the southeast of Cuba.
The factory processes more than 60 tons of juices and nectar as well as around 130 tons of mango daily.
In the current complex economic scenario, the company has had to implement alternatives to solve irregularities that affect the productive development of the industry. Tomazo Mayoro, production director of the Tropical Contramaestre S.A. Mixed Enterprise and representative of the Italian side in Cuba, said that with all the difficulties that we know exist, such as transportation, lack of fuel, electricity and the affectation we had from the virus in July, we managed to achieve these results. Achievements that have been fought for and with the desire to continue, in addition to the help of the president on the foreign side, we were able to meet our clients’ needs.
On the other hand, maintenance, purchase of technological equipment, expansion of production areas focus the attention of the company’s directors. Investment projects are in execution, we are in the process of installation, in the month of August Italian technicians will arrive for the assembly of new lines, we are thinking of expanding the factory – argued the production director of Mixta.
The industry is already preparing for the next campaigns, so it assures the raw material of other fruit lines that are cultivated in the east of the country, as is the case of guava.
