Julio Antonio Mella, an outstanding young leader

Julio Antonio Mella, student leader of skills and knowledge

With astonishment Julio Antonio Mella looks at the crowds in squares and university buildings and even smiles at the sight of his fellow students after the revolutionary continuity. The student leader recognizes that, although his whirlwind life was not in vain, his early farewell nourishes aptitudes and knowledge.

With pride Julio Antonio Mella understands that it was worth it to take out of the clutches of injustice and violence, the wisdom that nourishes the students, that learning is the most valuable opportunity to save the homeland and pursue dreams; that life is that, to continue the journey to equip ourselves with ideological weapons and positive thoughts on the road to progress until the day of the last farewell.

For that revolutionary passion Mella bequeathed to the Cuban student body that education means emancipation, freedom; it means raising the soul to the glorious light of truth, the light by which only men and women can be liberated.

Students follow Mella’s example

Inspired by the example of Julio Antonio Mella, students who are cultivated in High Schools, Pre-Universities and Universities, resume their challenges with will and determination, after the impact of very complex times to continue being free and contributing to the Cuban social project.

With the conviction that after death we are useful, that nothing of our work is lost, the student body of the nation knows conscientiously that this Cuba must be defended to consolidate even more the revolutionary work, so that the republic can maintain itself, rather than being slaves of anyone.

In the face of the mercenary pretensions of snatching our independence and sovereignty, the students of Contramaestre know where they are and where they are going, they know that before the enemy there can be no pact, no surrender or defeat; that the virtue is in defending the Homeland wrapped in unwavering Heroes and worthy Cubans who love and found.

Today, when all the trials of the empire have been left in the void, Julio Antonio Mella continues to look with astonishment and pride at the students of his land, knowing that they have a credible road map, backed by the courage and bravery of a socialist Revolution.
