Cederista: word derives from CDR to name the members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR)

The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution is an organization created by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on September 28, 1960 in every neighborhood of Cuba to stop the wave of sabotage carried out by the enemies of the Cuban Revolution supported by the United States government.

The organization works with all the people in the neighborhood, to maintain citizen tranquility, and the protection of community property.
