Workers in the education sector in the municipality of Contramaestre actively participate in the consultation process on the preliminary draft of the Labour Code, taking into account the educational establishments of the different demarcations of the territory.
In this popular consultation, the opinions and suggestions of workers in the sector are essential to enrich the new regulatory proposal. In this sense, the reference to labor rights in different situations appears as one of the most mentioned topics in the trade union sessions already held, as stated by Alexis Camejo Cedeño, Head of the Department of Preuniversitario in the municipality.
The manager also commented on what was stipulated for students who had just graduated from pedagogical careers, describing it as very successful including and relevant in terms of labour and economic protection at the beginning of their working life.
The new draft aims to provide greater guarantees for workers in this and other sectors, as well as establishing duties for professional work. Luis López Saldívar, from the General Directorate of Education in the municipality, stressed the importance of knowing about the application of disciplinary measures and public warnings, as a way to ensure greater order in the sector.
The Trade Union for the Education of Supervisors will extend the discussion and consultation on the Preliminary Draft of the Labour Code until next November, to complete the 120 trade union meetings previously planned. This ensures the participation of all workers in such an important process.
