In a productive supervision at the agriculture company of Laguna Blanca, led by the governor in the province, Manuel Falcón Hernández, and with the presence of the First Secretary of the Party in the Santiago de Cuba province, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, it was possible to verify that even this entity of agriculture, located in the municipality of Contramaestre, is very far from its potentialities.
When assessing row by row, according to the planting, harvesting and delivery planning of them, inconsistencies were detected, behind which there is a lack of control of production by the corresponding authorities and the absence of enthusiasm on the part of some farmers.
The above propitiates, according to what was expressed in the meeting, a deviation of important food volumes towards other types of trade, in which the population is unprotected, as it creates a chain that continues with the failure of deliveries to fairs and markets, where there are more affordable prices for the worker.
As part of the economic discussion of these results, the authorities in the province drew attention to the negative indicators that put even more at risk the financial health of the company Laguna Blanca. Therefore, the company has make rearrangements of the planning and assessing steps and procedures leading to the expected result: more food stuff for the population.
And Contramaestre has to become a municipality with Superávit, an aspiration if Laguna Blanca farming company works properly and finally produces the necessary crops for the people of Santiago de Cuba city.
