Contramaestre was the scene last Friday of a job fair with the purpose of facilitating interested people access to a formal employment that legalizes labor ties and thus guarantees the benefits granted by the social security system and other the work code. This was one of the objectives of the job fair held last Friday in Contramaestre.
Formal work provides social security for those who work informally or illegally, who are unable to obtain a medical certificate in the event of an accident, and therefore cannot benefit from an accident resulting in death. However, by having their legal documentation, the individual becomes a worker with legal links, and is entitled to a medical certificate, and if she is a woman, she is entitled to a maternity leave certificate.
Making this process more expeditious is one of the main objectives of the employment fairs that are usually held in the country. The most recent edition of Contramaestre was attended by private management, companies and state agencies, which announced offers of available places, also offered different training courses in the most varied trades.
In order to bring people closer to different job opportunities, state and non-state enterprises go to communities and exchange with neighbors about employment possibilities and the characteristics of the various vacancies. They also explain the conditions and requirements that applicants must have in order to be able to take up these jobs.
