The plenary of the Municipal Committee of the Party in the Third Front agreed to release from the position of First Secretary the comrade Sobeida Hernández Morales, who served in these functions for more than four years, with favorable results in the political field, economic and social aspects recognised by the plenary.
In his place, he was promoted to the position of First Secretary, comrade Yoneisis Castellanos Junco, who served as a member of the Executive Bureau for Agrifood activity in the Municipal Committee of Palma Soriano. Castellanos Junco is 40 years old, has a degree in education in the field of agronomy and his career has been upward; first as an administrative manager in the education sector and then as a political cadre in the Union of Young Communists and in the Party.
Likewise, the Municipal Committee and its First Secretary in Santiago de Cuba,al de Contramaestre agreed to promote to the position of First Secretary comrade Yoendry Oconor Reyes, who served as a member of the Executive Bureau for the attention to the economic sectorProductive in the Municipal Committee of Santiago de Cuba. In this regard, the plenary recognized the performance of comrade Yoelvis Suárez Zapata while he was at the head of the Committee.
Oconor Reyes, 46 years old, holds a degree in Education, specializing in Marxism-Leninism and History, with a significant career as a teacher and administrative manager in that sector. As a political cadre, he served as First Secretary of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in San Luis, member of the Bureau of its Provincial Committee and, once in the Party, served as General Secretary of the 26 de Julio District of the capital municipality.
Also, the Municipal Committee of San Luis, agreed to release from office of First Secretary comrade Yusmaikel Valier Ramirez, who was recognized its results in the promotion of the economic and social strategy of the territory, with emphasis on food production and the consolidation of agricultural development poles and areas.
Instead, the Plenary agreed to promote Eyder Luis Hernández Borrero, who served as a political-ideological officer in the Provincial Committee of the Party. Hernández Borrero, 45 years old, has a degree in Education, specializing in Marxism-Leninism and History, and began his working life as a teacher and then held administrative positions in the educational sector in San Luis.
In 2018 he was promoted to the professional work of the Party, serving for four years as a member of the Executive Bureau to attend the political-ideological sphere in this municipality. As part of his preparation, he received training at the Universidad del Partido Ñico López and is currently studying the specialization in Political Direction of society, at the institution itself.
The Plenary of the Provincial Committee of the Party
In the same way, the Plenary of the Provincial Committee of the Party (CP-PCC), in extraordinary session, approved to release -by renewal- from the position of Member of the Bureau to attend the Agro-food activity, the comrade Eudis Manuel Yeja Fernández.
Of her 55 years old, Yeja Fernández has devoted 26 years to the professional work of the Party; of these, six as a member of the CP-PCC Bureau.
He served as Instructor, Official, Member of the Bureau and First Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party in Mella; in 2016 he attended the National Defense College and was promoted to Member of the Agrifood Bureau. He is a dedicated, disciplined and modest cadre who always acts with full respect for the established rules and will carry out administrative functions.
In compliance with the policy of cadres, the Plenary approved the promotion to this post of comrade Yusmaikel Valier Ramirez, who started as an instructor of the UJC in the Border Brigade, President of the Popular Council “Argeo Martínez” in Guantanamo, and Vice-Chairman of the Council of the Municipal Administration in its own territory.
He headed the Provincial Directorate of Communal Services in Santiago de Cuba until his promotion, in 2021, to official of the Provincial Committee and then as First Secretary in San Luis. It is a young cadre, characterized by discipline and commitment to the organization fulfilling the tasks assigned by the superior body. He possesses methods of political and administrative leadership, as well as public communication, which has facilitated his better performance in his work. It is characterized by simplicity, modesty, demand, responsibility and dedication to work.
