Havana, 11 sep (Prensa Latina) The National Electrical Union (UNE) of Cuba today confirmed the online entry of eight units of thermoelectric power plants (CTE) as part of the continuity of the restoration of the National Electroenergetic System.
In an updated publication on social networks, the UNE maintains that recovery is progressing and unit 3 of the CTE Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, that of Nuevitas; motors of the CTE Mariel and its Unit 8, Unit 1 and 3 of Santa Cruz are already online.
Likewise, online are also reported Energás Varadero and Boca de Jaruco, Unit 6 of October Ten and in the start-up process are the CTE Antonio Guiteras.
Previously, it was reported that 73 percent of the circuits in Havana already have energy service thanks to the continued work of specialists, according to an update by the National Electrical Union.
It was indicated that at 5:00 in the morning, local time, 18 substations had been re-established, 208 distribution circuits representing 628,861 customers (451.03 MW); in addition, the vital health services in hospitals were operating and the water supply was being re-established; according to a company report.
