Assuming municipal development as an essential responsibility of community stakeholders, engaging them through scientific research and the application of its results, is part of the objectives pursued by the tenth edition of the national local development workshop, which the Contramaestre University Center has led in that Santiago de Cuba region.
The tenth edition of the national local development workshop, led by the aforementioned educational institution, part of the Universidad de Oriente, kicked off with two keynote lectures given by two prestigious academics from the Contramaestre Municipal University Center.
The theoretical and practical focus of the workshop is on agriculture, a sector in which the Contramaestre municipality has the greatest potential in the province of Santiago de Cuba and where the aim is to lay the foundations for local development.
The tenth edition of the national local development workshop in Contramaestre already has the main merit of directly involving the new generations in sovereignty and governance plans, essential for reaching new stages in the comprehensive development of the municipality.
