A new generation of professionals has just graduated from the Contramaestre Municipal University Center. This is the result of the efforts of students and professors under very difficult conditions, where talent and perseverance prevailed.
Finally, the nine-month effort was rewarded, and students and professors participated in the graduation ceremony of the Contramaestre Municipal University Center for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Representatives from the Party, the government, the Center’s management, and the Vice-Rector of the Universidad de Oriente, Dr. Elsi María Áreas López, attended.
Three prominent figures in research and teaching graced the academic panel: Dr. Alexander Gorina Sánchez, Dr. Dámaris Sarmiento Duanis, and Dr. María Victoria Fajardo Safonts.
Specialist and assistant professor Tahimí Sardiñas Arrieta led the presentation of gold degrees and recognitions to graduates with outstanding results.
Among them, Ms. Mirsa Rosa López spoke, highlighting the leading role of students and teachers, as well as the role of new professionals in implementing the comprehensive development plans of the municipality and the country.
In her closing remarks, Bárbara Donet Olivares, Master of Science and Director of the Municipal University Center, emphasized the students’ resilience and spirit of resistance.
The director congratulated the graduates and urged them to become agents of change wherever they work.
