Harvesting and profit of the mango in atypical harvest of Contramaestre

Producers and workers in the industry work under atypical conditions to take over the harvest and profit of mango in the municipality of Contramaestre. Both the agricultural and industrial sectors are faced with the challenge of making the most of their enormous productive potential, despite the material constraints affecting them.

These are the premises of the Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios Miguel Betancourt in the municipality of Contramaestre, Santiago. These mango plantations are at the peak of ripening and it is necessary to accelerate the rate of harvest because the plan is to make the most of the productive levels.

This producer and his colleagues harvest all day in the middle of a good agricultural yield. The delivery commitment is 40 tons. In the absence of fuel and other resources, the will and alternatives are essential.

Thus, thanks to animal traction, the fruit travels directly to the cooperative’s mini-industry where it benefits as much as possible. Although the facility is not designed to process the handle, its workers take initiatives that allow it.

The CCS Miguel Betancourt contracted with the nearby company Mixta Tropical Contramaestre SA a figure of 100 tons of fruit, to avoid losing in the field the rest of the productions that can not process the mini-industry.
