Havana, May 30 (RHC) We are going to learn to master artificial intelligence (AI) to take advantage of what it offers us and complement it with our intelligences, Cuban academic and designer Eviel Ramos urged today.
The reflective message was addressed to design students and professionals, on the occasion of the XII International Congress FORMA_25 that concludes today focused on the challenges and perspectives of the use of AI in this discipline, on which Ramos stressed that in design all intelligences are needed.
AI imposes itself, it is a tool that helps, it imposes challenges, but the other intelligences are needed to complement it.
The dean of the faculty of Communicational Design of the Higher Institute of Industrial Design (ISdi), explained in statements to Prensa Latina that if we do not put the human sense to design, there is no way that AI is going to solve the problems we have.
AI, he pointed out, cannot replace the human, nor will it provide the ingredients it needs from the linguistic point of view, of interaction, of mixing the different knowledge of marketing, communication and production to make a more social design.
The FORMA_25 Congress has been in session in the capital’s Palacio de las Convenciones since last Tuesday, with delegates from 10 Latin American and European countries, including Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Portugal.
