Unloading and distribution of liquefied petroleum gas begins

As reported by the Cuba-Petroleum Union (Cupet), the unloading of a ship with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) began at the international dock of the Hermanos Díaz refinery, with the eastern provinces as its destination.

Subsequently, the ship will call at other ports to continue supplying the rest of the country.

Lisset González Sardinas, director of the Territorial Division of Fuel Commercialization, informed that the organizational conditions for distribution and commercialization have been created, and it is expected to cover one hundred percent of the clients in a period of 24 days.

At the same time, the cylinder filling plant is expected to extract some 14,000 cylinders per day for transfer to the centers of Santiago de Cuba and the rest of the territories.

LPG will also be distributed to health care centers, educational institutions and others of social importance. Each province will implement its own strategy to do so quickly and efficiently.
