Cuba congratulates Venezuela on a successful election day

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the Government and Bolivarian people of Venezuela for the successful development of its most recent electoral process, characterized by peace and popular participation.

Through a message on the social network X, the Cuban Foreign Minister stressed that the elections demonstrated “the majority will to move forward united” despite the “adverse context of unilateral coercive measures and aggressions by the United States”.

“We congratulate the Bolivarian and Chavista Government and People of #Venezuela for the successful election day, in which peace and the will to move forward together prevailed, despite the adverse context of unilateral coercive measures and aggressions by #US.”

Venezuela elected this Sunday 24 governors, 285 deputies to the National Assembly and 260 state legislators.

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela obtained the victory by winning 23 of the 24 governorships, including that of the new state of Guayana Esequiba.

Likewise, in the National Assembly (NA), the ruling alliance won 34 of the 40 confirmed positions, corresponding to the national list.
