Perhaps because the Neem tree is very resistant and rises up to 20 meters high, under its shade in calle tres of the Frank País de Contramaestre neighborhood, a cultural club is being developed that bears its name.
This is an evocative baptism for a community initiative that has in the cultural promoter and writer Nanci Vega its tireless animator and its main objective: to promote the history of the homeland and the national cultural values.
The audience could not be more heterogeneous, so they take advantage of it and the adults share their knowledge. Twice a month, on Sundays, they meet under the imposing tree, in a community learning experience, where social inclusion and the exchange of knowledge are seasoned with music, poetry and other art manifestations.
A little more knowledge of where we come from and the music of a Canadian visitor who decided to share with these Cubans of pure lineage, the club closes and the invitation remains for the next meeting under the shadow of the Neem.
