The Defense Day was held this Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the municipality of Contramaestre, dedicated to verify the functioning of each area of the civilian population that would intervene in case of war.
The activities were supervised by the Municipal Council of Defense headed by Yoelvis Suarez Zapata, secretary of the PCC in the Contramaestre municipality, who was able to appreciate the correct organization and disposition of the different areas to carry out their task in time of war.
All the areas showed their strengths in the organic functioning in wartime and in addition to the practical demonstration they gave detailed information on the different elements and aspects to be taken into account in a war contingency.
The different entities and staked areas were also recognized for their careful work in the preparation for the defense of the homeland. The following stood out for their more comprehensive conception: the American Defense Zone, the Internal Order Group, the Political Ideology and Mass Work Group, the Legal Group, the Info-Communications Group, the Economic and Social Group, the Food Group, the Food Production Area, Education, Culture and Sports, and Industry.
The exercise not only reinforces the strategy, but also shows the strength of the people based on unity in their preparation to defend the homeland in the face of any challenge that may arise.
