As a demonstration that defense training must be a constant in Cuban social practice, a few days after the earthquakes in eastern Cuba, in which the municipality of Contramaestre was also involved, wartime training activities were carried out in this municipality.
The same system that exercises actions in response to a direct aggression, becomes a bastion of civil defense in the face of extreme natural events such as hurricanes and earthquakes.
That is why in this plenary for the defense in Contramaestre the plans were reviewed again, as well as the disposition of all the mechanism that in cases like these must act to guarantee the human life, the continuity of the economic-productive activity and the recovery of the economy.
