In order to provide solidarity aid to those affected by hurricane Oscar in the Guantanamo municipalities of Imías and San Antonio del Sur, the National Association of Small Farmers of Contramaestre (ANAP) is organizing donations to be made to these eastern territories.
As Mirza Rosa López del Toro, president of the peasant organization, informed to this web site, in response to the call of the highest authorities of the Party and the government, we are ready for any task that has to be fulfilled to help the Guantanamero brothers and sisters.
The anapistas‘ representative also specified that the contributions are already being made by the workers and members of the municipal committee of ANAP. As soon as we were given the information and we observed the serious affectations that the localities had by the meteorological event, a call was made to all the cooperatives to donate food products that can be conserved as well as any article that they wish.
A donation reception system has been established at the municipal headquarters of ANAP through the presidents of the cooperatives.
