Contramaestre Computer Club celebrates its 37th anniversary

The Young Computer and Electronics Club of Contramaestre celebrated this September 6 the 37th anniversary of its foundation. The political act was presided over by Yoelvis Suárez Zapata, First Secretary of the Party in the municipality, who recognized the important work of these workers on their day, and Maribel Castillo Aroche, municipal director of the Youth Clubs.

In Contramaestre, this network of technological centers has five facilities and an annex room, where a total of 36 workers provide different services, as Castillo Aroche pointed out.

In spite of the limitations of equipment and other technological resources, work is being done in the teaching of computer science for different age groups, as well as courses for children and adolescents on artificial intelligence.

Castillo Aroche also commented that the main priority of the Joven Clubs currently lies in the contribution to the digital transformation process that is being developed throughout the country, with special interest in the process of national bankarization.

Among the work projections for the coming months are the strengthening of social activities in remote communities and training on electronic payment gateways such as transfermóvil and enzona. It is also intended to make progress in the municipality’s robotics project.

37 years after its creation, the Young Computer Clubs in Contramaestre are consolidated as a fundamental pillar in the informatization process of society.
