In Contramaestre, outstanding women in the functioning of the FMC are recognized

Women in Contramaestre honor their federation

A group of outstanding women in the fulfillment of the tasks of the Federation of Cuban Women in Contramaestre, were recognized in a municipal act. At the meeting, on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the women’s organization, the commitment of the Contramaestrian women to continue contributing from their organization to the construction of a fairer society was evidenced.

The premises of the Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa Romana Siete received in the early hours of the morning a representation of Contramaestrian women who were ready to plant beans, productive work with which they sealed a series of activities framed in the jornada dedicated to the 64th anniversary of the founding of the Federation of Cuban Women.

Precisely there, they later developed the municipal act on the occasion of the anniversary, which was presided over by Yoelvis Suarez Zapata, first Secretary of the Party in the territory.

The three best blocks of the Federation of Cuban Women in Contramaestre received awards, as well as the best areas of work, while the recognition to the best cadre of the year in the work of the Federation of Cuban Women in the municipality of Contramaestre was given to Yanet Reyes Garcés, an official of the Patricio Lumumba Popular Council.

The closing remarks of the municipal event in Contramaestre for the 64th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women were delivered by Maité Villa Ortega, Secretary General of the organization in the territory. In them she highlighted the exemplary role of women in the multiple tasks for which they have been called, emphasized that the FMC works for all women, congratulated its members and reiterated the commitment to continue the legacy of Vilma Espín, its founder, in the construction of a more just society.
