The purpose of the event held at the General Teaching Hospital Orlando Pantoja Tamayo in the municipality of Contramaestre was to recognize the work of men and women who, by fulfilling their tasks in the field of innovations and rationalizations, have allowed them to maintain an exemplary and consistent attitude with the principles of the Revolution. The event was part of the activities for the 47th anniversary of the creation of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR).
The meeting was presided over by Dailianis Dalis Viel, president of the organization in the province of Santiago de Cuba, Irina Tamayo Domínguez, representative of the ANIR movement in Santiago de Cuba, members of the municipal bureau of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), among other guests.
During the meeting, the 8th of October award was given to the Innovation and Rationalization Committee (CIR) of the Municipal Directorate of Education and to the Anirista Boris Leonardo Vega Peláez. Several innovators and CIRs with outstanding work during the period also received individual and collective recognitions.
