Eudis Manuel Llejas Fernandez, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Santiago de Cuba, led a working visit to the municipality of Contramaestre in which the sugarcane recovery program in this territory was checked.
Sowing more sugar cane, taking care of the plantations and boosting the activity of food production in the sector, were specific indications given during a meeting with producers and managers in which were also present Elixander Naranjo Chacón, Member of the Municipal Bureau of the Party and Tania Pérez Saumel, intendant in the territory.
Sugar cane growers take the challenge
Even when the material conditions are not ideal and the fuel limitations attempt against the fulfillment of the sowing plan of the stage about to conclude, the sugar cane growers of Contramaestre assume the challenge of increasing in areas and yields, an essential step for the production of sugar and its derivatives to take off in the country.
The member of the Provincial Party Bureau Eudis Manuel Llejas Fernandez insisted on the importance of consolidating what has been achieved and from there move forward because Contramaestre has the land and the know-how of hundreds of men and women committed to sugar production, the best tribute to the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
