The Moncada attack, an encourage for blind

The main speech was delivered by Lino Remesar Miranda, organizer of the ANCI here: “In Cuba a culture of disability is encouraged that tends to promote inclusion from a right approach, leaving the welfare model. Our province is the territory with the largest number of members followed by Havana, so on the 48th anniversary of the founding of the National Association of the Blind, join the cultural, sporting and recreational moments dedicated to extol the role of the ANCI in favor of social inclusion that should start with the family. Let’s not forget that disability is not in the person who carries it, but in society; therefore, if it is not prepared, there will be no possible inclusion.

With only a few days left to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, we, the people of Santiago, must multiply our work with endurance and creativity, with the determination to achieve superior results.

The Moncada attack In spite of the bravery and dignity of the assailants, inferior in numbers and weapons, they were unable to take the fortress. The dictator’s order was to eliminate ten revolutionaries for each soldier killed in combat. The massacre was generalized and most of the assailants were killed. The survivors were arrested after the fierce hunt, tried and sentenced to prison.”
