The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the municipality of Contramaestre, made up of more than 3 thousand farmers, is currently developing different activities as part of the summer season.
Fifteen recreational options make up the organization’s program for this summer season. The activities are carried out in rural communities of the eastern territory.
In this opportunity the farmers have been able to enjoy various initiatives that have among the main objectives, to preserve and promote the traditions of our countryside.
Farmers in participatory games
Ribbon races, cultural activities for all age groups carried out in social circles of the cooperatives, dominoes and fishing championship, the realization of the radio program Ecos de un Laúd, exhibition on the life and work of Fidel in salute to the 97th anniversary of his birth are some of the options for recreation during the summer.
In this regard, Yudith Mendoza Mora, member of the ANAP municipal bureau in charge of the organization area, informed that activities have also been developed in honor of the 70th anniversary of the assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, mainly aimed at food production in the productive poles of the Contramaestre municipality.
