The Municipal Forum for the year 2023 was held at the headquarters of the National Association of Small Farmers, ANAP, with the objective of generalizing the agroecological experiences implemented on various farms in Contramaestre.
The forum enabled the training and socialization of knowledge among farmers. This time ten papers were presented by farmers belonging to different productive bases of the eastern territory.
A holistic view forum
The research dealt with a variety of topics ranging from the strengthening of water supply, the yield of cassava according to the way it is planted and how the environment influences agricultural production, to works related to the creation of machinery by farmers that enable the productive output per hectare and its benefits to humanize the work in the field, as well as the replacement of spare parts for agricultural equipment.
On this occasion, seven papers were selected to represent the municipality at the Provincial Forum. The works defended were characterized by responding to the need of farmers to continue producing food in a healthy and wholesome way.
