The radio in the municipality of Contramaestre is honored with artists of national renown. One of them is Adelys del Toro Corrales, a Merit Artist of the Cuban radio, who joins the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the attack to the Moncada, with the pride of being from Santiago de Cuba.
“Very proud to be from Santiago, very proud to be from Contramaestre, to belong to this Indomitable land, full of traditions, culture, history, roots; and to do more for my country every day.”
For this woman, who has devoted her life to radio broadcasting, the homage to the 26th of July is the daily fulfillment of her duty.
“History has to be made every day, working, giving all our effort, putting effort, and above all, thinking that it is not only to do our duty, it is to do it better every day.”
Del Toro Corrales has the formula to get ahead in a radio scenario full of challenges and goals:
“Every, every day you have to look for a reason to be inspired, to say here I am, and here I can give more, and to be convinced that we are going to win, we are going to move forward; with that optimism you also win, with that self-esteem of being from Santiago, of being Cuban.”
