A better youth is the aspiration of the 12th Congress of the Young Communist aleague (UJC) throughout Cuba, which will take place in April 2024. Prior to the great event, assemblies are already being held at center level. This time it was the turn of the Medical Sciences Branch of the municipality of Contramaestre where 27 delegates and guests gathered.
During the meeting, key issues for the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) and the Federation of University Students (FEU) were discussed, such as the preparation of young leaders, political and ideological work, the use of social networks and new technologies, the work of correspondents, the dissemination of scientific events, the disposition of student assistants, and other topics.
Students in Contramaestre for a better nation
To ensure that there is a whirl of ideas, that the debate is deep, accurate, to contribute to the construction of an increasingly prosperous Cuba will be the task of the 7 delegates chosen at the municipal meeting to participate in the Provincial Assembly to be held soon.
In the presence of party leaders, leaders of the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba and students, it was clear that discouragement or defeatism is not an option for the future doctors and that the challenges are focused on continuing to grow in militancy, improving the base committees and strengthening, changing everything that needs to be changed, the protagonism of young people in the construction of an organization always at the forefront.
