The Ramiro Betancourt Credit and Service Cooperative hosted the municipal event for the Farmers’ Day in Contramaestre. The celebration took place yesterday, Wednesday May 3, despite the fact that the actual date is April 17.
The Ramiro Betancourt Credit and Services Cooperative located in the Ruta Martiana Popular Council is one of the largest productive bases in Contramaestre municipality and it is involved in the program of planting 1,000 hectares of bananas, with 300 hectares to be cultivated.
The act was presided over by José Aizpurúa Ricardo political coordinator of the Party in Contramaestre, Anargelis González Cuevas member of the National Committee of ANAP, Tainier Danilo Dublón Hechevarría member of the Provincial Committee of the ANAP organization and Mirza Rosa López del Toro president of ANAP in Contramaestre.
Also in attendance were cadres of the political and mass organizations, representatives of the local government in Contramaestre, presidents of grassroots organizations and credit and service organizations, prominent peasants and residents of the Popular Council itself.

The event recognized the work of women and the gender work that has developed the Santiago municipality achieving outstanding results. Dunia Salina Sánchez, president of the grassroots organization of the CPA Saturnino Lora Torres recognized this. She represented the Anapist women of the eastern territory and reaffirmed the support of the peasantry to the Party and the Revolution.
In the peasant meeting, the producer Yordanis Alvarez Venero was recognized as the most outstanding peasant of the CCS Ramiro Betancourt, to grassroots organizations with satisfactory results during 2022 and 2023. Among those honored were CCS Ramiro Betancourt, CCS Miguel Betancourt, CCS Rafael Benítez, CCS Ruta Invasora.
Special recognition was also given to two productive structures that obtained the condition of provincial vanguard in the emulation for May 17, these were CCS Moisés Popa González and CCS Amado Rosales.
Likewise, producers Adel Villalón Correa, Jorge Hortuño Brizuela both from the CCS Miguel Betancourt, Orlando Chávez Fajardo from the CCS Romárico Cordero and Adelis Ramírez Castro from the CCS Jesús Menéndez received special recognition for obtaining the condition of provincial vanguard in the production contest for May 17.
