Julio César García García, president of the Municipal Electoral Commission said that this exercise in the polling stations of the territory will make it possible to verify the material and human assurance necessary for the voting during the coming National elections.

In each of the scenarios, it will also seek to know the technical state of the communications equipment and the flow of information from the 161 precincts to the two special electoral commissions, the municipal computer center and the Municipal Electoral Council.

In Contramaestre, other indispensable supports for the development of such a singular democratic event, to be held on March 26, 2023, will also be evaluated, such as the support with transportation to the voting scenarios as well as the logistic support in general required for the national election day.

This jurisdiction will count this time with more than 77 thousand voters, who will exercise the suffrage in an act of sovereign exercise of democracy electing the deputies for the Tenth Legislature of the highest organ of power of the State in the nation, all in equal conditions and prioritizing the ethical, moral and revolutionary values to represent the interests of the people with political will.

If the proposed candidacy is approved in the March 26 elections, Cuba would become the nation with the second Parliament with more women in the world: 55.3 percent of the total of 470 deputies are women. The prominent place that Cuban women occupy in society and the opportunities offered by the Cuban Revolution to develop in all areas of society also make it possible for them to participate in the seats of the National Assembly.
