A combatant faithful to his Cuban Revolution

La Asociación de Combatientes de la Revolución Cubana

The Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution will celebrate this December 7 the 30th anniversary of its founding, and of its work in the defense of the most legitimate principles of its free and sovereign homeland.

Its raison d’être is to unconditionally defend the revolution in all fields through the active participation of its members in the political and ideological struggle and in the tasks of armed defense and internal order.

On the other hand, they are in charge of the development of patriotic, military and internationalist education among the combatants, their families and the population, especially with the new generations.

Today we talked to Miguel Angel Tabares Figueredo, from the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution of the municipality of Contramaestre.

Why do you belong to this important association?

“I have over 45 years in the defense, I still belong to the Civil Defense when I am almost 70 years old. I’m a radist of the General Staff of the Civil Defense. And that has been my combat trench.”

What does belonging to the Combatants’ Association mean to you?

“The Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution has meant the trench that at this stage of life the revolution has assigned me so that I can continue defending it to the last consequences.”

Could you do without the Combatants’ Association?

“I would not conceive my life at any stage without a trench from which to fight for Fidel’s ideas and for our revolution.”

Thus, the Combatants of the Cuban Revolution are always ready to faithfully defend their homeland.
