Contramaestre unions set goals for 2023


The current state of affiliation in local unions, the cadre policy and the fulfillment of efficiency indicators will be the priorities of the labor movement in Contramaestre in the year 2023.

These work guidelines were defined in the first ordinary meeting of the municipal secretariat of the Confederation of Cuban Workers (CTC by its name in Spanish), where the performance of the organization during 2022 was analyzed.

The exchange was attended by the highest representatives of the proletariat and the general secretaries of the fifteen unions that make up the workers’ movement of the municipality of Contramaestre.

Among the topics discussed were the results of the affiliation, the efficiency in the income from union dues and the contribution to the defense of the Homeland at the end of December, a matter which presented irregularities in its fulfillment last year.

New tasks for Contramaestre unions

On the other hand, information was provided on the development of the political process of presentation and information to the workers of the approved figures of the Plan and Budget for the year 2023. In this regard Geunys González Góngora, secretary general of the CTC in Contramaestre said, “that in compliance with the economic context that the country is going through, this important political process will be developed in the territory in the months of February and March for which a schedule of 272 assemblies of affiliates has been organized with the participation of more than 19 thousand workers.”

Another of the points discussed was the assessment of the cadre policy at the end of 2022. Likewise, the fulfillment of the program 70th Anniversary of the Moncada in its first stage of the Triumph of the Revolution was analyzed.
