The people of Contramaestre, despite the complexities faced in the social economic field that marked the course of 2022, said goodbye to the year without minimizing their unquestionable support to the Cuban Revolution, sure that the airs of this revolutionary process will always blow to consolidate the victory.
In a brief summary, Dr. Manuel Rodríguez Alfaro, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in this jurisdiction in the southeastern part of Cuba, when talking to this journalist, referred to the main strengths to which the fifteen working sectors of the locality and the people in general added their dedication and devotion.
“We worked in the search for solutions to the processes of agreement and productive economic contracting of the sectors, managing to comply with the mercantile circulation, we acted in the correct use and control of the State budget in order not to have undue expenses, and at the same time we tried to implement the 63 measures in order to achieve food sovereignty”.
What social actions marked the year 2022 in Contramaestre?
“It stands out the intervention in a dozen neighborhoods with situations of vulnerability, promoting actions aimed at improving housing comfort, the practice of healthy recreation and cultural promotion as well as the impulse in the creation of new economic actors, managing to approve and have in operation 40 MSMEs and Five local development project, which help to energize the economy of the municipality.”
“In addition, actions have been deployed to confront abusive and speculative prices in the 13 popular councils of the municipality, we worked on the sustainability of social services and programs, and the recovery of the sugar industry.”
With that glow, which invigorates the attachment of the people of Contrama Estrada to the Homeland in the 64th year of the victorious triumph of January 1st, we will continue in this land taking a step forward to the tasks and programs that enhance the work left by the Eternal Fidel. In what directions are the challenges for 2023?
“The main challenge is aimed at achieving improvements in the economic situation of the municipality and the needs of the population, paying special attention to local development with a greater and comprehensive government management in favor of all the programs on which our society is based… ” In 2023 we will continue to challenge shortages but the will of the people and government will prevail in search of new victories, always at the side of the Revolution and with the support of our top leaders.”
In Contramaestre will remain the resistance and the desire to truinfar before every contingency, taken as a bastion the strength of ideas and the invariable decision to defend at any cost the Cuban Revolution on all fronts.
