Contributing from the classroom to the teaching of history is one of the priorities of general education in this school year. In the municipality of Contramaestre, this important task is carried out taking into account the peculiarities of each educational level and the ideological factor which accompanies history as a subject.
José Mariano Lora López, who heads the commission of the discipline of History in the municipality, besides the system of political -ideological work in the general direction of Education of the territory, commented that it is of particular interest to strengthen the treatment of figures, historical dates and events from the earliest ages, as a way to combat the media and ideological war that confronts the country today.
In achieving this objective, the correct organization of the contents according to the characteristics of each educational level and the needs of the different courses is vital, said the manager.
“We have a system designed to deal with the historical content of our country from an early age. The work takes into account what life was like before the revolutionary triumph, and the transformations that took place afterwards”.
In this sense, the use of technologies, although limited, is an important support, especially with regard to mobile applications for students’ use and CINESOFT materials, in order to enhance content.
Knowing the history of the nation, as well as the rest of the world, is, at present, not only a requirement of academic curricula, but of the social and political life of the country. By improving their teaching in educational establishments, students are guaranteed to be prepared for disinformation and contribute to the growth of their culture.
