One of the main objectives for the 2025-2026 school year in the municipality of Contramaestre is to strengthen ideological political work in classrooms. To this task is added the exchange with student organizations, which bring together both children and young people.
Alexis Camejo Cedeño, Head of the Pre-University Department and responsible in the education sector for the activities carried out by the Federation of Middle School Students (FEEM by its Spanish name) and the Union of Young Communists in the territory commented:
“In this course we will be working on the basis of the Us manual, which sets out each of the activities to be carried out. We have several motivations for the current stage, such as the centenary of the birth of our Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro, and the 55th anniversary of the constitution of FEEM. We will welcome new entrants to each of the educational levels, and their respective student organizations”.
In this academic period, the strategy to be followed by teachers and student leaders is based on the principle of knowing and taking advantage of students’ current motivations as well as their aspirations for the future both academically and personally.
“The most important thing to develop ideological political work is to contextualize it to our times, our families and our students. It is necessary that each student can internalize, from their own experiences, how to rescue our homeland values, identity as a nation and our roots. On this basis we will work not only with the students, but with the family and community to position the school as a center of educational influences”.
The ideological political work that takes place in the classroom is a fundamental point for the education of children, adolescents and young people, as well as promoting their active participation in the organizations which bring them together. In the current school term, this task is a priority at all levels of education.
