Sparking interest in learning from an early age is one of the goals of education, both in early childhood and primary education, in the municipality of Contramaestre. In the 2025-2026 school year, this task will be carried out with the minimum necessary conditions.

In the case of early childhood, care for children will be provided in the eight daycare centers in the area, in addition to the Casitas Infantiles (Children’s Cottages) and the Educate Your Child program, clarified Yanila Fajardo Pérez, Head of Department for this level of education in the municipality:
“Teacher coverage is fully guaranteed in early childhood, with graduates and teaching assistants from advanced training courses.”

Primary education, meanwhile, will begin the new school year with 7,750 students from the various community councils. Regarding the material base for study, the literature corresponding to the second group of the third advanced level of education will be completed, while materials such as notebooks and pencils will be provided according to the established standards.
In the early years of life, education is a fundamental aspect, both in the academic and learning spheres, as well as in the formation of principles and values. In this regard, the work of the early childhood and primary education levels is crucial.
