The government of Contramaestre, complying with the call of the Sixth Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, recently evaluated the report of the Preliminary Draft of the Social Economic Plan and Budget for 2024.
At the meeting, specialists from the Directorates of Economy and Planning as well as Finance and Prices presented to the district delegates the report containing the main preliminary social economic goals, as well as the budget figures for the coming year.
It transpired in the presence of the analysis, that for the referred fiscal year, in Contramaestre it is estimated to obtain net sales of more than 823 million 500 thousand pesos, as well as a reduction in the fiscal deficit of more than three million in relation to what was foreseen for the estimated closing of 2023.
The Preliminary Draft Budget for fiscal year 2024 will continue to maintain its eminently social character, and will be aimed at supporting situations of vulnerability, social and local development programs, demographic dynamics, as well as attention to the population’s concerns and complaints.
The amount preliminarily budgeted for the maintenance of the basic services received by the population amounts to more than 826 million pesos, highlighting that 57.6 percent of the total expenditure supports the continuity of the level of activity in which the education and public health sectors of Contramaestre have an impact.
Other key sectors for the population such as culture, community services, labor and social assistance, public administration, defense, hospital and attention to neighborhoods and communities approved as vulnerable are also included in the local budget expenditure amounts for 2024.
