One of the objectives of the current process of evaluation of the internal functioning of the Credit and Service Cooperative Miguel Betancourt, as well as the role it plays in its community, is assessing its current performance. The renewal and/or ratification of the Board of Directors’ mandate for a period of two and a half years is also being carried out as part of this process.
This is the most important political process in these instances where contractual relations with the different actors in the municipality and the implementation of the cooperative’s development program also occupy the attention of the farmers, as is the case in the municipality of Contramaestre.
The old and new generations meet again. This time they do not do it in front of the furrow, as it is usual in the Miguel Betancourt Cooperative, but in a scenario of balance of the work of this structure of the agricultural system in Contramaestre.
These men and women of the field have many advances to show, such as their efficient and recently released mini-industry, however, they are not satisfied, in their interventions they show their dissatisfaction with the presence of obstacles that still prevent the milk from reaching its destination on time or the irrigation system is not installed more quickly.
The Cooperative claims its rights
The farmers of this CCS criticized the deficient relations with the Delegation of Agriculture and the Company that serves them, they returned to the quality and high prices of inputs but recognized their potential to move forward.
As part of the assembly process, the cooperative members of the CCS Miguel Betancourt de Contramaestre elected their new board of directors, ratifying comrade Alberto del Toro Alarcón as its head.
Another stage of hard work begins in the Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios Miguel Betancourt de Contramaestre and its makers know it. To face it, they are using the infallible formula of unity and faith in victory.
