The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, announced on Wednesday, through his Twitter account, the defeat of the anti-Cuban maneuver sponsored by the Organization of American States (OAS), after obtaining the rejection of the majority of member countries.
The call made to the members of the Organization of American States (OAS) to “analyze” this Wednesday “the situation in Cuba” for meddling purposes, failed miserably due to the refusal of the majority of its member countries.
This was communicated on Twitter by the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, which he described as a defeat for the pretensions of the pro-U.S. entity.
“Defeated anti-Cuban maneuver in the OAS. Rejection by a majority of member states forced (the) suspension of the Permanent Council,” the Foreign Minister published, adding that the President pro tempore of the Council admitted the failure through a “pathetic letter that offends the island.”
Rodríguez Parrilla also thanked the countries “that defended Latin American and Caribbean dignity”.
According to a report by Russia Today, Washington Abdala, president pro tempore of the Permanent Council, informed that, after receiving proposals from some countries, it was decided to postpone the meeting in order to carry out consultations that could be useful.
Abdala added that he has asked the organization’s Secretariat for Legal Affairs for a report on the situation of the Caribbean nation in relation to the OAS – an organization without morals and with a long history of betraying the peoples of Latin America – which will be shared with the delegations when it is available.
In recent days, the U.S. government has been trying out multiple pressure mechanisms to force third countries to take a stand against Cuba, a mendacious purpose among the many that the OAS facilitates with the loyalty of a lackey.
