Today, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health informed that a total of 81 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Cuba in the 8,175 samples studied in the last few hours, a list that now totals 5,222 since the first cases last March.
Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health informed that 44 patients of Covid-19 were medically discharged in the last 24 hours, so that there are now 4,506 persons recovered from that disease.
The figure constitutes 86.3 percent of the infected persons, the public health director announced in a press conference during his daily speech on Cuban television.
Dr. Durán called attention to the danger that the 81 persons reported the day before, 10 of them are of pediatric age (under 18 years old).
At yesterday’s close, he also expressed his regret for the passing of one person, bringing the number of deaths in Cuba by Covid-19 to 117.
