Contramaestre reports 6 new Covid-19 cases, Cuba 854, according to the head of the Epidemiological Department of the Ministry of Public Health, Francisco Durán, who added that 21,799 samples were studied, and the country now accumulates 3,235,144 samples taken and 87,385 positive.

At the end of yesterday, April 11, a total of 24,945 patients had been admitted, 3,661 were suspected, 16,322 were under surveillance and 4,962 were confirmed active.

Of the total number of cases (854): 816 were contacts of confirmed cases; 12 with source of infection abroad; on the 26th day, with no source of infection specified. Of the 854 diagnosed cases, 441 were female and 413 were male.

Of the 854 positive cases, 45.0% (386) were asymptomatic, with a total of 44,865 cases, representing 51.0% of those confirmed to date. The 854 diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age: 141; 20 to 39 years of age: 267; 40 to 59 years of age: 298 and over 60: 148 cases.

Mella: 2 (1 confirmed case contact and 1 without source of infection specified).
Palma Soriano: 16 (12 confirmed case contacts and 4 with no known source of infection).
San Luis: 3 (confirmed case contacts).
Santiago de Cuba: 34 (33 confirmed case contacts and 1 without source of infection).
Songo La Maya: 4 (contacts of confirmed cases).

As of April 11, 190 countries and 29 territories have reported cases of COVID-19, with 136 million 609 thousand 969 confirmed cases (+ 810 thousand 58), 23 million 865 thousand 821 active cases and 2 million 948 thousand 586 deaths (+ 13 thousand 910) for a case fatality rate of 2.16 (=).

In the Americas region, 59 million 241,511 confirmed cases (+ 286,515) were reported, 43.36% of the total number of cases reported in the world, with 9 million 289,578 active cases and 1 million 431,239 deaths (+ 8,674) for a case fatality rate of 2.42 (+ 0.01).
