Cuba reports one death and 35 new Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Monday one deceased and 35 new positive samples to Covid-19 during the last hours, for an accumulated of 6,970 positives since the beginning of the disease.

As of yesterday’s closing, November 1, 3 thousand 746 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 844 are suspected, 2 thousand 381 are under surveillance and 521 have been confirmed.

For COVID-19, 8,192 samples were studied, resulting in 35 positive samples. The country accumulates 858 thousand 131 samples made and 6 thousand 970 positive (0.81%). Therefore, at the end of yesterday, 35 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 6,970 in the country.

The 35 diagnosed cases are Cuban and native. Of the total number of cases (35): 32 were contacts of confirmed cases and three without a precise source of infection. Of the 35 diagnosed cases, 19 were female and 16 were male. 74.2% (26) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

As of November 1, 185 countries have reported cases of VIDOC-19, with 46,156,588 confirmed cases (+488,722) and 1,196,272 deaths (+6,773) for a lethality of 2.59 (-0.01).

In the Americas, 20,684,578 confirmed cases have been reported (+137,912), 44.81% of the total number of cases reported worldwide, with 642,894 deaths (+2,381) and a fatality rate of 3.11% (-0.01).
