Cuba reports 287 new Covid-19 cases

Cuba reports 287 new cases of Covid-19 at the end of yesterday, November 19, after the study of a total of 19,955 samples for surveillance during the day, so the country accumulates 10 million 909,313 samples taken and 960,472 positive, according to information from the Ministry of Public Health.

The report shows that 4,930 patients have been admitted, 3,306 are suspected, 209 are under surveillance and 1,415 are confirmed active.

For Covid-19, a total of 19,955 samples were taken for surveillance during the day, with 287 positive results. The country accumulates 10 million 909 thousand 313 samples performed and 960 thousand 472 positive.

Covid-19 sources

Of the total number of cases (287): 284 were contacts of confirmed cases; 0 with source of infection abroad; 3 with no source of infection specified. Of the 287 diagnosed cases, 164 were female and 123 were male.

Of the 287 positive cases, 15.0% (43) were asymptomatic, making a total of 132,268 cases, representing 13.8% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 287 diagnosed cases, they belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (53), 20 to 39 years of age (72), 40 to 59 years of age (97) and over 60 years of age (65).

Of the 960,472 patients diagnosed with Covid-19, 1,415 remain hospitalized, of whom 1,369 have a stable clinical course. There are 8,293 deaths (3 during the day), a mortality rate of 0.86% vs. 2.01% in the world and 2.43% in the Americas; 2 evacuated, 55 returned to their countries, 254 discharged during the day, and 950,707 patients have recovered (99.0%). There are 46 confirmed patients in intensive care, of which 20 are critical and 26 severe.
