Cuba reports 240 new Covid-19 cases

Cuba reports 240 new cases of Covid-19 at the end of yesterday, November 21, after the study of a total of 17,944 samples for surveillance during the day, so the country accumulates 10 million 947,424 samples taken and 961,042 positive, according to information from the Ministry of Public Health.

The report shows that 4,657 patients have been admitted, 3,073 are suspected, 218 are under surveillance and 1,366 are confirmed active.

For Covid-19, 240 positive results were obtained. The country accumulates 10 million 947 thousand 424 samples taken and 961 thousand 042 positive.

Of the total number of cases (240): 236 were contacts of confirmed cases; 2 with source of infection abroad; 2 with no source of infection specified. Of the 240 diagnosed cases, 130 were female and 110 were male.

Of the 240 positive cases, 12.9% (31) were asymptomatic, making a total of 132,341 cases, representing 13.7% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 240 cases diagnosed, they belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age (38), 20 to 39 years of age (45), 40 to 59 years of age (78) and over 60 (79).

Of the 961,042 patients diagnosed with the disease, 1,366 remain hospitalized, of whom 1,327 are clinically stable. There were 8,295 deaths (0 on the day), with a case fatality rate of 0.86% vs. 2.0% in the world and 2.43% in the Americas; 2 evacuated, 55 returned to their countries, 266 discharged on the day, and 951,324 patients recovered (99.0%). Thirty-nine confirmed patients are being treated in intensive care, including 16 critical and 23 serious patients.
